Blackboard Maintenance

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the Learning Management System (Blackboard) MAY be unavailable Friday, December 3rd from 12AM to 4AM. The Managed Hosting Engineers will be performing proactive and preventive maintenance to ensure the health of the Blackboard systems and infrastructure. The work involves load balancer work to improve the reliability and stability of our services. Service interruptions may occur for all Blackboard services. Blackboard Upgrade

Please be advised of planned maintenance on the Blackboard Learning Management system scheduled to begin at 10:00pm MST on Wednesday, November 24th. To complete the process, the Blackboard system will remain unavailable until 10:00pm MST on Thursday November 25th. We also expect improved performance with the SafeAssign component of Blackboard resulting from recent updates made by Blackboard hosted support. Please note, If you are taking a fall semester course that contains material you need access to, please retrieve these items prior to the maintenance. SafeAssign Status

From Blackboard Managed Hosting: "On Tuesday, November 2nd, papers submitted to SafeAssign were not being processed. The outage was caused by a storage failure related to continued high submission volume. It took some time to identify the cause, but thereafter service was quickly resolved. As part of the resolution, we have added storage capacity to be more reliable and robust. We believe the system is stabilized and papers are now being processed. There remains a backlog of papers that are queued for processing; this will occur over the next few days and we expect the system to be completely caught up by November 9th.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Our teams are working diligently to monitor the situation and correct any further problems."

SafeAssign Status

From Blackboard Managed Hosting: “At this time SafeAssign Services is experiencing a high volume of incoming requests causing longer paper processing times and delayed reports for some submissions. Engineers are working to resolve the issue at this time. Blackboard regrets any inconvenience this may cause.”
