Faculty LMS Survey

The Blackboard Instructional Design and Information Technology (BB ID IT) team would like to invite you to provide feedback about the functionality and support of our current Learning Management System- Blackboard version 9.0. The information we receive will be catalogued, reviewed and reported to the Learning Management System Advisory Group in an ongoing fashion. We will work with this group to address each response and specify issue resolutions, product enhancements and ways we can continue to improve our support. Blackboard Maintenance

The work includes application of security patch identified recently by Oracle which addresses vulnerability in Java. Service interruptions may occur for all Blackboard services. Blackboard Maintenance

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the Learning Management System (Blackboard) MAY be unavailable Thursday, February 17th from 12AM to 4AM. The Managed Hosting Infrastructure Engineers will be performing emergency maintenance at the VA3 Datacenter. The work involves replacing a faulty component in a network switch. This switch is not part of the production traffic network but does carry management data. Service interruptions may occur for all Blackboard services. SafeAssign Status

On Monday, February 8th, some users of the SafeAssign service begin receiving "Access Denied" messages when submitting a SafeAssign assignment. The issue was quickly identified as an expired SSL certificate within the SafeAssign installation. The Managed Hosting Operations team reports that the issues with SafeAssign have now been resolved. The SSL certificate was successfully updated and users should no longer receive "Access Denied" messages.

SafeAssign Status

Blackboard users are currently experiencing problems with access to SafeAssign - an error message may appear when a SafeAssignment link is clicked. Blackboard Managed Hosting is working to resolve the problem and will restore full service soon.
